The Nanodevice Fabrication and Transport Laboratory – the nanoFab – is  an interdisciplinary laboratory of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE) where physicists, chemists and material scientists are engaged to exploit NANOTECHNOLOGY resources to foster SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION and development.

The nanoFab is based in the Scientific Campus of UNIMORE in Modena, at the Department of Physics, Informatics and Mathematics (FIM) and is headed by Prof. Francesco Rossella.

At the nanoFab, researchers from UNIMORE, together with researchers from the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN) as well as associate researchers of the Istituto Nanoscienze – National Research Council (CNR-NANO) and of Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) work synergically to develop and test innovative nanodevice architectures with applications encompassing quantum technologies and sustainable energy harvesting.

SEMICONDUCTOR NANOWIRES(POLY)ELECTROLYTES and 2D-MATERIALS are the building blocks of multifunctional devices developed by the research team.
